GM's Saab Brand Planning Offers

Stockholm: General Motors plans to sell one part of the Saab automotive technology to Chinese companies and sold the entire brand to another buyer. This information comes from someone who knows the GM negotiations. So quoted by the Associated Press recently.

People that say GM would sell the technology behind the Saab 93 and 95 models to Beijing Automotive Industry Holding. Sales of these technologies will help Saab assessed financially but still will not stop efforts to sell the Saab brand and the current production to other buyers.

When questioned, GM declined to comment on. And GM had previously said he would release the Saab brand, if not find a prospective buyer at the end of December. However, GM has recently claimed to have found a buyer after the company's home Koenigsegg Automotive AB of Sweden to cancel the agreement in November.

Beijing Automotive Industry Holdings which was part of the team claimed to have been Koenigsegg Saab reevaluate. According to various reports, the firm the Renco Group Inc.. and Merbanco Inc. investor group. also interested to buy a Saab.

Saab comes from an aircraft company founded in 1937 in the town of Linkoping, Sweden. After World War II, began producing cars Saab through Saab Automobile company. The company was later bought by half by General Motors in 1990, and then the remaining ten years later
