Jakarta - General Motors (GM) did not want to miss in offering a compact small car. GM was going to compete with neighboring countrymen Ford Fiesta, by presenting the concept Aveo RS.
Detroit Auto Show next week will be the first appearance of the Chevrolet Aveo RS concept, which will be mass produced and compete directly with the Ford Fiesta and Toyota Yaris.
Longer, wider, and wider than the previous production version of the Aveo, Aveo RS is much more sporty appearance with a five-door hatchback and the dual element on the front grill.
Launched Carscoop, Saturday (9/1/2010) Aveo RS will also have special features like 19-inch pelk, roof spoiler and rear diffuser, which is sweetened with chrome tailpipe.
Chevrolet Cruze engine was adopted to support hospitals Aveo, with a capacity of 1.4 liters Turbocharger Ecotec inline-four, 138 hp powered. This machine will be combined with 6 speed manual gearbox with front-wheel drive.
GM says, Aveo RS version of its mass production will be produced at the Orion Township assembly center, Michigan, starting next year 2011.
